Congratulations! You have successfully logged into the front end of the Plantation High School web site.
You have been selected to write or "author" new material for your high school web site.
Click here for the latest guide to authoring for the Plantation High School web site.
If you have any questions, please contact the This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
You can get started right away by going to the "Web Author Menu" found along the left side of this and every page. This menu is only present when you log into the front end of the Plantation High School web site. This menu is not seen when you log out or by the rest of the world (i.e. guests of the web site).
"Welcome Page" is the page you are currently viewing and which appears when you log into the front end of the web site.
"Your Details" allows you to change the following:
I would suggest you first change your password to one which you will remember rather than the randon one assigned to you by the website. I would NOT recommend that you change your name or username. The User Editor refers to the text editor you use to create your web pages. If the default editor is not working for you, then change to another that will work.
"Web Site Submission" will bring you to the page used to add new pages, content, articles to the web site. This is what you will use to create new web pages.
First you must choose a section (don't ask why - it has to do with the way this program works). You must choose one of the sections on the pull down menu. You CANNOT create a new section. If you are writing about the football or other sports team, then choose "athletics." If you are writing about a club such a literary club, newspaper, band, etc, then choose "activities." If you have some important information that must be broadcast on the front page, then choose "Home Page Section." Ultimately, it doesn't matter which section you choose because I will review the submission and correct any missclassifications.
"Submit WebLink" allows you to add any neat links to other web sites that you think will be of interest to Plantation High School students. You will be asked for a name, short description, and URL. The URL stands for Uniform Resource Locator or the "web address" such as http://plantationhigh.us.
"Check-In My Items" is used if you are accidently "locked out" of one of your documents. This will happen when you "navigate" away from web page you are working on without saving or closing out of the web page.
"Logout" is for logging out of the web site.
